Why we ask for this
Under Indian immigration law, every hotel, guesthouse and homestay must register each foreign guest with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 24 hours of arrival, using Form C. The government uses it for national security and immigration compliance, to know where foreign visitors are staying. That's why it asks for your passport, visa and travel details.
It takes about 5 minutes. Start with photos of your passport and visa: we'll fill in most of it for you and show your photos next to the questions. Fields in yellow were filled in for you; please check them.
1. Passport photo page
Lay the passport flat in good light, avoid glare, and make sure the two lines of <<< at the bottom are sharp.
2. Indian visa
Best: your e-Visa (ETA) letter, printed or on screen. Otherwise, the visa page or the arrival stamp in your passport.
3. Your photo for the FRRO
We make this from your passport photo. If your face isn't framed well, tap Adjust crop to fix it. Only take a selfie if the passport photo itself is unclear (plain background, face the camera).
